Date: Saturday, May 18, 2013
Join us for our 5th annual invasive species eradication trip on the Upper Sacramento River. Enjoy 8 miles of lively Class 3 whitewater while helping to rid the banks of Scotch broom, a highly invasive plant species found in abundance along this stretch of the river. This event is brought to you by the River Exchange, with the generous support of River Dancers Rafting and Kayaking Co., who will provide all rafting gear, and the U.S. Forest Service, who will provide all tools needed for the bank restoration work.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for people to get actively involved with river restoration while experiencing exhilerating whitewater! Space is limited; call River Dancers at (530) 926-3517 or 1-800-926 5002 for more information and to register. A $50 fee benefits River Exchange's educational programs.
