Watershed Excellence Award

On November 29, 2012, we were awarded the Watershed Excellence Award by the Sacramento River Watershed Program for “remarkable efforts to go above and beyond to ensure that current and potential uses of the watershed’s resources are sustained, restored, and where possible, enhanced, while promoting the long-term social and economic vitality of the region.”

“We deeply value the River Exchange’s collaborative approach to stewardship of our vital watershed resources, said Holly Jorgensen, Watershed Coordinator for SRWP. “They have been an invaluable resource in fostering dialogue and forming partnerships to sustain and restore watershed resources in the headwaters of the Sacramento River, an area that provides water that sustains communities throughout the State.”
