For fifteen years, the River Exchange has accomplished important projects and provided the community with educational events and programs. We fill a unique role in our region, bringing together a wide range of people in order to exchange information and promote watershed stewardship.

The River Exchange feels strongly about the importance community involvement plays in our mission to promote watershed stewardship, restoration and education. Ongoing support and participation from those who value our mission is crucial to achieve the organization’s goals. We welcome you to become an active part of the work we do by becoming a member or volunteering with us!

Why Become a Member? Those who donate any amount of time, funds or in-kind gifts are considered annual members of the River Exchange family. Your gift allows the River Exchange to achieve its mission by helping to provide watershed education opportunities, since such critical work is not typically funded by grants. Member support made it possible for informative panels to be added to the river cross-section mural at Sisson Museum in Mount Shasta, in order to teach about the resilience and health of the Upper Sacramento River. As a member, you will also be mailed our twice-annual newsletter.

Check or Money Order

Checks or money orders can be made out to the River Exchange and mailed to PO Box 784 Dunsmuir, CA 96025.

Credit Card Donations

In-kind Donations

Gifts of auction items or door prizes are requested each year for our annual River Celebration each spring and the Great River Clean-up each September. Donations of office supplies or other items are also welcome. Please call our office at (530) 235-2012 to learn what is needed.

Volunteer your Talents!

Volunteers have always been vital to what we do, and we welcome you to play an active role in serving the community with us. Our volunteers have opportunities to play a variety of roles, from administrative tasks like research or design work, to helping with hands-on restoration projects. We invite you to tell us how you would like to get involved. Simply mail or fax us the Volunteer Questionnaire below. If you’d rather call us and chat about how you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. After we have your information on file, we’d be happy to call on you when an opportunity arises to lend your unique interests and skills to our work.
